This is the distribution of BRAGI V 6.0

As this SW is rewritten in several parts, there may be errors or funnys
things in this version, especially if running on Linux, OFS1 or Sun.
To get BRAGI up and running you need:

A licence to use BRAGI
	a keyphrase to decrypt the ftp distribution   or
	a CD version of BRAGI

If you want to get the ftp distribution, download
from ftp://ftp.gbf.de/pub/bragi/V6.0

BRAGI_V6a_GLOB.tgc	This is a "must have" for all new BRAGI versions

These are the binary versions for the related machine:

BRAGI_V6a_IRIX.tgc		SGI Machines using MIPS R4000 and R5000
BRAGI_V6a_IRIX64.tgc		SGI Machines using MIPS R10000
BRAGI_V6a_Linux.tgc		Intel based Linux


ALL BRAGI Versions will display the output graphics to ANY X11 screen!

Install:

Download the files you want to have to a directory of your choice.
Create a directory to install BRAGI in. It should be empty, the name does not
matter.

Go there.
Extract the files using the gnu-tar e.g. called gtar:

for each downloaded files execute:
crypt < "Name of one file" | gtar xvzf - 


YES, all files are extracted in the same directory!

e.g.

crypt < /tmp/BRAGI_V6_GLOB.tgc    | gtar xvzf -
crypt < /tmp/BRAGI_V6_IRIX.tgc    | gtar xvzf -
crypt < /tmp/BRAGI_V6_IRIX64.tgc  | gtar xvzf -
crypt < /tmp/BRAGI_V6_Linux.tgc   | gtar xvzf -

get the LOOP-databanks, if desired:
       goto the home directory of BRAGI,
       create a directory, called bragi/tools/loops,
	    ( bragi/tools should exist, didn't it? )
       go there
	    get ftp:/ftp.gbf.de/pub/Bragi/loop.tar.Z 
	    zcat loop.tar.Z | tar xvf -
       or
	    get ftp:/ftp.gbf.de/pub/Bragi/loop-splited/* instead
	    cat loop.tar.Z.* | zcat | tar xvf -


To use the function called "Loop Prediction" you need the datas at:
     ftp://ftp.uni-koeln.de/institute/biochemie/pub/bragi
         See README file there
     BRAGI assumes these files in a subdirectory calles bragi/tools/loop2

To start BRAGI, just call XBragi in this directory.

To use BRAGI on multiplatform environment, share the installation directory
via nfs.

For SGI users only:
This Version of BRAGI is for SGI IRIX 6.5.
If you run 6.2, 6.3 or 6.4 get
xbragi.sgi.62 and replace xbragi in
bragi/IRIX/xbragi
AND
bragi/IRIX64/xbragi
by this file.
Note:
